Intro to Evaluations
Overview
EVAL is a low-code/no-code (LCNC) decision support platform designed to empower healthcare clinicians, researchers, administrators, and frontline staff to create, run, and share digital evaluations. Evaluations serve as clinical calculators, guideline decision support tools, office protocols, research analytics tools, and patient assessments.
Evaluations can be shared publicly with any EVAL member, restricted to your account, or kept private. The Charts feature provides a HIPAA-compliant workspace for running evaluations against patient records.
Finding Evaluations
Three navigation areas give you access to evaluations:
Explore Browse publicly available evaluations. Search by title or tag to find evaluations relevant to your clinical area.
Library Your personal workspace. Access evaluations you have created, evaluations shared with you, and create new evaluations from here.
Charts A secure workspace for running evaluations against patient records in compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations.
Player vs. Builder
Two interfaces let you interact with evaluations:
Player The user-facing interface that displays interactive questions and choices, leading through a series of logic steps to a set of results. This is where evaluations are completed.
Builder The creation and editing interface for building sections, questions, choices, input fields, and results using visibility rules and formula capabilities. Any EVAL member can view how an evaluation was built in Builder mode; only editors can make changes.
Evaluation Visibility Settings
| Setting | Who can access |
|---|---|
| Public | All EVAL members |
| Account | Members of your account only |
| Private | Only those you have explicitly invited |
Evaluations default to private when created.
