Evaluation visibility and sharing
Overview
EVAL uses a role-based access system to control who can view, run, edit, and own each evaluation. Access is managed through the Permissions settings on each evaluation.
Evaluation Visibility
Three visibility levels determine who can access an evaluation:
| Visibility | Who can access |
|---|---|
| Public | All EVAL members |
| Account | Members of your account only |
| Private | Only collaborators you have explicitly invited |
Evaluations default to private when created.
Collaborators
Collaborators are individuals who contribute to an evaluation's development, maintenance, testing, or verification. The evaluation creator is automatically assigned as the owner.
Adding Collaborators
- Open the evaluation in Builder or Player mode
- Select Permissions from the three-dot menu
- Click New
- Search for the member by name
- Select a permission level
- Send the invite
The invited member receives an email notification.
Permission Levels
| Level | Can do |
|---|---|
| Use | Run the evaluation in Player mode |
| Edit | Modify the evaluation in Builder mode |
| Own | Full access including managing permissions and deleting |
Modifying a Collaborator's Role
Click the member's name badge in the Permissions panel, then select a new permission level from the dropdown.
Removing a Collaborator
Click the member's name badge and select Delete. The individual immediately loses their library access to the evaluation.
Account Administrators
Account Administrators always have access to every evaluation in the account, even if they are not listed as a collaborator.
Security in Emailing Results
Transmit patient evaluation results by email while protecting PHI — use encryption, secure file transfer, recipient verification, and HIPAA controls.
Player Reference
Navigate EVAL evaluations in Player mode — answer questions, track progress, convert units, and view calculated results and recommendation cards.
