Account types and plans
EVAL offers four plans designed for different stages of adoption — from individual researchers exploring the platform to large health systems running organization-wide assessment programs. Every plan includes access to the Marketplace and the AI Builder, so you can explore the platform before committing to a paid subscription.

Researcher — Free
The Researcher plan is designed for medical societies, researchers, solo practitioners, and students who want to build and share clinical evaluation tools without managing real patient data.
With Researcher, you get full access to the Builder and the Marketplace. You can create evaluations with AI assistance, collaborate with peers worldwide, browse and use validated clinical instruments (like the PHQ-9 and GAD-7), and publish your own work to the global community. The Marketplace lets you share evaluations through a reviewed submission process.
Researcher accounts include simulated patient charts for testing your evaluations, but do not support real patient data. If you need to manage actual patient records, deliver assessments to real patients, or comply with HIPAA or GDPR requirements, you'll need the Starter or Clinical Team plan.
Researcher also includes a personal library for organizing your evaluations and supports unlimited staff users — from a single researcher to an entire medical society.
Starter — $49 / month
The Starter plan unlocks EVAL's clinical capabilities for small teams. This plan is ideal for solo practitioners, small practices, and research teams that need to work with real patient data but don't require population-level management tools.
Everything in Researcher is included, plus the features that make EVAL a clinical platform: real patient charts with PHI data security, multi-channel assessment delivery (SMS, email, patient portal, and kiosk mode), scheduled assessments with automated reminders, anonymous intake forms for patient enrollment, and a patient portal where patients can log in to view their results and complete assigned evaluations.
Starter includes HIPAA and GDPR compliance — meaning your organization's data is handled according to healthcare data protection standards, and EVAL provides a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and Data Protection Agreement (DPA).
Your team gets chat support, clinical decision support rules for automated alerts based on assessment scores, real-time results dashboards for monitoring outcomes, and data export in CSV and JSON formats for analysis. Starter supports 1–3 staff users and unlimited patients.
EHR integration is available as a paid add-on. This connects EVAL with systems like Epic, Cerner, and Athena through FHIR, enabling patient data synchronization and SMART on FHIR app launch. See Integrations for details.
Clinical Team — $149 / month
The Clinical Team plan is EVAL's most popular plan, built for clinical practices and research teams that need population monitoring, Care Panels, and organizational branding.
Everything in Starter is included, plus the features designed for team-based workflows: Care Panels for organizing patients into clinical, research, and quality groups, population monitoring dashboards, panel-level results export for research analysis, and a research data repository for managing longitudinal study data.
Clinical Team also includes branding customization: your organization's logo, colors, and identity appear on patient-facing communications, the patient portal, and public intake forms.
Your team gets priority chat support and can scale up to 15 staff users with unlimited patients. EHR integration (FHIR, SMART on FHIR, EHR SSO, and embedded workflows) is available as a paid add-on.
Enterprise
The Enterprise plan is for large organizations that need advanced security, dedicated support, and system-wide EHR integration.
Everything in Clinical Team is included, plus features designed for scale: system-wide EHR integrations (included, not an add-on), custom contracts (MSA, BAA, DPA), a dedicated support team with SLA guarantees, onboarding assistance and training, complete audit logs and activity tracking for compliance monitoring, single sign-on (SSO) with SAML/OAuth identity provider integration, API access for programmatic integration with your organization's systems, and unlimited staff users.
Enterprise also offers customizable compliance agreements — your legal team can work with EVAL to tailor the BAA and DPA to your organization's specific requirements.
Contact the EVAL sales team for Enterprise pricing. The plan is structured around your organization's size and requirements rather than a fixed monthly rate.
Choosing the right plan
The right plan depends on your team size, whether you're working with real patient data, and how your organization uses EVAL.

If you're building evaluations, testing ideas, or sharing tools with the clinical community — and you don't need to manage actual patient records — Researcher gives you everything you need at no cost.
If you're a solo practitioner or small team (up to 3 staff) working with real patients, Starter provides the clinical tools, compliance, and patient engagement features you need at a straightforward monthly price. Starter is well suited for individual clinicians managing their own patient assessments, small research teams running studies, and practices that don't need population-level panel management.
If your practice or research program needs Care Panels for organizing patient groups, population monitoring, branded patient communications, or supports more than 3 staff members, Clinical Team is the right fit. This is the plan most clinics and research teams choose when they need to coordinate assessments across a team and track outcomes at the population level.
If your organization requires enterprise security controls, system-wide EHR integration, SSO, audit logs, API access, or dedicated support with SLA commitments, Enterprise provides the infrastructure and guarantees that large health systems require.
