Evaluations
Overview
The Evaluation tab is the starting point for every evaluation you build. Before you can add sections, questions, or results, you define the evaluation's metadata — its title, URL, description, and visibility settings.
Required Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | The evaluation's display name |
| Slug | A unique URL identifier used to share and access the evaluation |
| Short Description | A brief overview displayed when the evaluation is published |
Presentation Format
Choose how the evaluation presents its content:
- Section by Section — Users complete one section at a time, advancing when they finish each section
- Question by Question — Users advance one question at a time through the entire evaluation
Visibility
Set who can access the evaluation:
| Setting | Access |
|---|---|
| Public | All EVAL members |
| Account | Members of your account only |
| Private | Only collaborators you explicitly invite |
Additional Metadata
After setting the required fields, you can enrich your evaluation with:
- Instructions — Additional background text for users running the evaluation, with formatting options
- About — Clinical context, strengths, limitations, and population considerations
- Literature — Supporting references including title, authors, and URL
- Attribution — Credits to contributors via member links or manual text entry
After Saving Metadata
Once you save the Evaluation tab, the Outline Pane becomes available. From there you can add sections, questions, and results to build out the evaluation logic.
Editing an Existing Evaluation
Open the evaluation and select Builder from the menu, then click Edit in the green header. Any changes you make create a new draft. Publishing the draft creates a new revision while preserving the full revision history.
Deleting an Evaluation
In edit mode, a Danger Zone section appears at the bottom of the Evaluation tab. Use this to permanently delete the evaluation. This action cannot be undone.
Publishing
Release your evaluation for clinical use — resolve errors, write revision notes, acknowledge safety requirements, and manage the revision lifecycle.
Media
Add images and YouTube videos to sections, questions, results, topics, and articles — with drag-and-drop upload, captions, and acknowledgment requirements.
